Traditional Resort Gurume
190 Minsokchon-gil, Andong-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do
A Miraculous Night in a 400-Year-Old Historic House
Gurume is a special space created by relocating and restoring Joseon-era historic houses that were at risk of being submerged during the construction of the Andong Dam. From houses preserved under the direction of former President Park Chung-hee to head family residences, it preserves the aesthetics of Korean architecture. The view of Andong Lake over the fences makes you feel as if you've traveled back in time.
The Ambiance of Hanok Meets Hotel Convenience
While the exterior is a classic traditional Hanok, the interior features modern bathrooms and amenities equivalent to a luxury hotel. Security and discomforts—common drawbacks of traditional Hanoks—have been perfectly addressed with state-of-the-art security systems, smart door locks, and premium bedding. Waking up to the scent of wood is a unique privilege only available here.
Taste and Enjoy the Culture of Andong
A traditional breakfast buffet from the Andong head family is provided, completing a journey that delights both the palate and the body. The on-site book cafe, 'OFF-ZOD,' is the perfect place to enjoy a cup of tea with thousands of books, and cultural programs such as tea ceremonies and traditional games are available for the whole family to enjoy.
